You may have noticed that upon clicking onto a standalone interactive item, you instantly open it if it is a free resource. Content providers create these items in a way that everything is packaged into one easy-to-access item, with all information and learning nested inside it.

Just as with needing to enroll into a course to be able to access the material contained, the same is true for interactive learning items (sometimes called SCORMs) in the GO1 system. As they are standalone items in these cases, you are automatically enrolled into them when they are opened.

This function was implemented for free interactive items following user feedback to save time and reduce user effort.

How to view the overview

Interactive files are special in the sense that they contain all parts of the learning completely inside the item. If you would like to view the overview for a free interactive item, you can generally find it at the very start of the file/course after opening it.

If you do not like the item/wish to un-enroll

You are able to remove the item from your learning - as an administrator, you can delete the enrollment via the Reports page of the item. To do so:

Via Administer:

  1. Go to Administer->Enrollments and find your name and the entry for the interactive item. (You can search your name and add the filter 'Type' -> 'Interactive' to find it quicker)
  2. Click the tick the box to the left of your name, then, just above the list, click the '...' button and click delete.
  3. Click delete in the box that pops up.
  4. Refresh the page.

Via Explore:

  1. Find the item in Explore's search and click the three dots on the tile. Select 'Settings' and on the next page click 'Reports.'
  2. Find your name in the list and tick the box to the left of it, then, just above the list, click the '...' button and click delete.
  3. Click delete in the box that pops up.
  4. Refresh the page.
