Reassign Learning Through the Manage Page

This article explains how administrators can quickly manage and reassign due dates for learners from the course’s Manage page.

Updated over a week ago

Managing due dates for your learners is simple and efficient using the Manage page of a course or resource. Whether you're updating deadlines or resetting progress for recurring training, here's how you can reassign due dates in just a few steps.

⚠️Note: The Reassign feature only applies to enrollments with a previous assignment.

  • If a learner has no previous assignment, the Reassign option will not work.

  • In bulk actions, only learners with existing assignments will be reassigned.

  • When managing individual enrollments, the Reassign button will be greyed out for those without a prior assignment.

Option 1: Navigate to the Manage Page

  1. Go to the Manage page of the course or resource.

  • Use the top checkbox to select all learners listed in the table.

  • Or manually select/deselect individual learners using the checkboxes beside their names.

2. On the bottom right sidebar, click "Reassign".

Option 2: Reassign individual learners

  • On the right side of each learner's row, click the three dots and select "Reassign."

Reassigning will reset the enrollment so that selected learners must start over from the beginning.

  • Learners will be notified of the reassignment.

  • Current progress will be overridden.

  • Ideal for annual or recurring training needs.

⚠️Important: Before reassigning, export historical data from the course report to preserve learner records. Only the most recent record will display in both Manage and Reports.

Step 4: Confirm and Set New Due Date

Once you've chosen Reassign, you will be prompted to:

  • Enter the new due date for completion

  • Click the "Reassign" button.

The Manage display will update to reflect the new due date, and learners will receive an email notification with the updated deadline.
