What are Knowledge Checks?
After you complete certain pieces of content, you may see a short knowledge check with questions tailored to your role and industry. These questions help you reflect on how the material applies to your day-to-day work.
Knowledge checks are powered by AI using Go1's contextualization model. Questions are based on your job title and industry, so they focus on realistic scenarios relevant to you.
How knowledge checks work
When you finish an eligible piece of content, a knowledge check appears automatically in the Player. Here's what to expect:
You'll see 3-5 scenario-based multiple choice questions
Answer all the questions and click See my results
After submitting, you'll see your results and feedback explaining why each answer is correct
You need to answer all questions before you can submit. You can't save your progress partway through - if you close the tab before submitting, your answers won't be saved.
What happens after you submit
After you submit your answers, you'll see:
Which questions you answered correctly
Per-question feedback explaining the correct answer and why other options are incorrect
Completing a knowledge check is optional. Your completion status is not affected whether you complete the knowledge check or skip it.
Your job title and personalization
Knowledge checks use your job title to frame questions around scenarios relevant to your role. You'll see your job title and industry displayed at the bottom of the knowledge check.
If your job title is incorrect or missing, update your profile here, or contact your admin to update it for you.
Note: Knowledge checks only appear if you have a job title on your profile. If you don't see a knowledge check after completing content, this may be because your job title hasn't been set.
Share feedback or report an issue
After completing a knowledge check, you'll be asked to rate how relevant the questions were to your role. You can also add additional details in the text field provided. This feedback helps us improve future knowledge checks.
If something doesn't seem right, you can report an issue directly from the knowledge check. Click the Flag icon in the top right corner to report an issue. You can add additional details in the text field provided. This feedback helps us improve future knowledge checks.
FAQs
For learners
Why didn't I see a knowledge check after completing content?
We're expanding coverage over time. Knowledge checks are currently available in English for selected content in Go1's content library. They also require a job title on your profile — if yours hasn't been set, you won't see a knowledge check.
Are knowledge checks generated by AI?
Yes. Questions are generated using AI based on the content you completed and your role. You'll see a clear label indicating this.
Does the knowledge check affect my completion status?
No. Skipping or closing the knowledge check doesn't change your completion status. Knowledge checks are optional.
Can I see my previous results if I return to the content?
No. Results aren't saved between sessions. If you complete the knowledge check and retry it, you won't see your previous score or answers.
My job title or industry looks wrong in the knowledge check. How do I update it?
You can update your job title from your profile in Go1 Learn.
For admins
How are knowledge checks different from quizzes?
Quizzes are static — all learners see the same questions regardless of their role. Knowledge checks are generated using Go1's contextualization model, so questions are tailored to each learner's role and industry.
A learner's job title is wrong in their knowledge check. How do I update it?
You can update a learner's job title from the People page in Go1 Learn. Learn more about managing users here.
Can I preview knowledge checks before learners see them?
Not yet. The ability to preview knowledge checks is coming soon.
How do I view learner results for knowledge checks?
This isn't available yet. We need to enough volume in knowledge check results to generate meaningful insights. The ability to view learner results for knowledge checks will be available in a future update.
Can I turn off knowledge checks?
No. Knowledge checks are part of the Go1 platform. They're designed to be lightweight assessments that don't disrupt the learning experience — learners can skip them at any time, and they don't affect completion status.
Can I make knowledge checks mandatory for learners to complete?
Not yet, but this is something we may consider in the future.
Can I edit knowledge checks or create my own?
No. Knowledge check questions are generated using Go1's contextualization model and can't be manually edited or authored.
