Immersive Simulations place you in a realistic workplace conversation with an AI-powered avatar. This guide explains how to prepare, take part, and review your results.
Before you begin
Each simulation:
Has a six-minute time limit
Includes one retry, giving you a maximum of two attempts
Lets you respond by voice or text
Records and assesses your responses using AI
For the most natural and interactive experience, we recommend responding by voice.
You can use text instead if it is more comfortable, accessible, or suitable for your environment. You can switch between voice and text during the simulation.

Important: Immersive Simulations are for scenario-based skills practice only. In real situations, always follow your organization’s processes.
Review the situation
Before starting, take a moment to review the situation and familiarize yourself with:
The workplace context
Your role in the conversation
Who the AI-powered avatar is playing
Your relationship to the avatar
Understanding this information will help you decide how to approach the conversation. You can select View situation during the simulation to review it again.
Take part in the conversation
Speaking with an AI-powered avatar may feel unfamiliar at first. Respond to the best of your ability as if you were in the workplace situation. You do not need to follow a script or use perfect wording.
To complete the conversation:
Select Next to begin.
Listen to the avatar and follow the captions.
Respond by voice or, optionally, by text.
Continue the conversation until you are ready to finish.
During the conversation, you can:
Mute or unmute your microphone
Switch between voice and text
Select Transcript to review the conversation
Select View situation to revisit the original context
Select Report if you experience a technical issue
The avatar responds based on what you say, so each conversation may develop differently. Keep the six-minute time limit in mind as you respond.
End the simulation
You can finish the conversation in either of these ways:
Select the red Leave button when you are ready. You can then choose to keep going or select Exit simulation.
If a green prompt appears to let you know the conversation is ready to conclude, select End simulation or continue the conversation.
The green prompt does not indicate your assessment outcome. It only lets you know that you can finish the conversation when you are ready.
If you reach the six-minute time limit, the conversation ends automatically. Keep the page open while your feedback is prepared.
Retry or view your results
What happens next depends on your overall outcome:
If your outcome is Understanding demonstrated, you will proceed directly to your results and the simulation is complete.
If your outcome is Needs development after your first attempt, you can select Try again to use your one retry or View results to continue with the result from that attempt.
After your second attempt, you will proceed to your final results.
If you choose View results instead of Try again, you cannot return later to use the unused retry.
Review your results
Your simulation results include:
Overall outcome and feedback: A summary of your performance across the simulation
Behavior-level outcomes and feedback: More detail about every behavior assessed
Your organization’s administrators can see the same assessment results and feedback shown to you. They cannot see the transcript of your conversation.

Report a technical issue
If you experience a problem during the conversation:
Select the flag icon or Report.
Select Audio isn’t working, Avatar stopped responding, or Something else.
If you select Something else, describe the issue and select Submit.
Reporting an issue ends the affected session and returns you to the start of the simulation. A session ended because of a reported technical issue does not count as one of your two attempts.
Try starting the simulation again. If the problem continues:
If voice is not working, unmute your microphone or switch to text.
If the avatar stops responding, refresh the page before trying again.

Share feedback
After completing the simulation, you can use the feedback option to tell Go1 about your experience. Your feedback helps us improve Immersive Simulations.
