Immersive Simulations are short, realistic workplace scenarios that help your organization understand how learners apply policies and judgment in practice.
What Immersive Simulations are
Each Immersive Simulation places the learner in a workplace conversation with an AI-powered avatar. Learners can respond using voice or text, and the avatar adapts the conversation based on what they say.
Immersive Simulations complement traditional courses and quizzes by assessing how learners apply their knowledge in practice. The results go beyond completion or an overall pass result by showing how the learner performed against each assessed behavior.
Feedback explains why their responses demonstrated understanding or indicated an area for development, helping your organization identify where additional support or learning may be useful.
How Immersive Simulations work
Choose and personalize a simulation. An administrator selects a simulation template and personalizes it for their organization.
Review, tailor and publish it. The administrator reviews and tailors the situation and assessment criteria, previews the learner experience, and publishes the simulation.
Assign it to learners. Direct customers assign the simulation through Go1 Learn. Supported partner customers assign it through their learning management system (LMS).
Review the results. Learners receive feedback, while administrators can review completion and behavioral insights.
Who Immersive Simulations are for
Immersive Simulations can support teams responsible for workplace learning, policies and compliance, including:
HR teams
Learning and Development teams
Compliance and Risk teams
Legal and policy owners
Information Security and IT teams
These teams can choose, personalize, publish, assign and review simulations relevant to their organization.
Learners complete assigned simulations by responding as they would in a real workplace situation. Their role is to take part naturally rather than follow a fixed script or repeat exact wording.
Direct Go1 customers create, assign and review simulations through Go1 Learn.
Supported partner customers create simulations through a Go1 administrator experience, then sync and assign them through their LMS. Detailed simulation results remain available through Go1 Learn.
Available simulation topics
The Immersive Simulations library currently covers:
Harassment prevention
Workplace health and safety
Anti-discrimination, EEO and accommodation
Disability Accommodation & Leave
Code of conduct and ethics
Cybersecurity
Responsible AI use
The library includes situations for different audiences, including employees, supervisors and hiring managers. See Explore available simulation topics for the complete library, intended audiences and regional coverage.
Personalize simulations for your organization
Administrators can use Personalization settings to provide information about their organization. Go1 uses these details to make simulation situations and workplace contexts more relevant.
For each simulation, administrators can tailor the workplace situation, context, avatar opening line, assessment expectations and the behaviors learners should demonstrate. They can also upload a relevant policy document so the simulation and assessment guidance better reflect their organization’s expectations and risk tolerance.
Organizations personalize an existing reviewed simulation. Creating a completely new simulation topic from scratch is not currently supported.
What learners can expect
Before the conversation begins, the learner receives a situation brief explaining their role, the avatar’s role and what is happening. During the simulation, they can respond using voice or text and use captions or transcript controls where needed.
There is no fixed script or single required response. The learner should respond as best they can, as if this was a real situation in the workplace.
After the conversation, the learner receives an outcome and development-focused feedback based on the set assessment critera. If another attempt is available, the learner can use what they learned from the feedback before trying again.
See Complete an Immersive Simulation for the full learner experience.
How assessment and results work
Each simulation assesses a defined set of workplace behaviors. Before publishing a simulation, the organization reviews the situation and assessment criteria to make sure they reflect its expectations.
The learner’s completed conversation is assessed as a whole. Learners receive an outcome of Understanding demonstrated or Needs development, along with feedback about their response.
Administrators can review completion and behavioral insights to identify where additional support or learning may be helpful.
