We recommend to auto-approve manager escalations to help you reduce manual follow-up. When an automation uses Approve before sending, Morgan by Go1™ will ask a portal admin to review manager escalations before sending them. You can review the message and recipients in Go1 Learn or in Microsoft Teams or Slack.
Before you begin
You must be a portal admin. Any portal admin can review an approval, even if another admin created the automation.
Your organization must have Morgan installed in Teams or Slack.
The automation must have Manager escalations turned on and Approve before sending selected.
Managers who are not portal admins can receive escalations but cannot approve them or manage automations. If the automation uses Send automatically, Morgan sends manager escalations without asking for approval.
Review an escalation in Go1 Learn
All admins on your portal can review and approve manager escalations in Go1 Learn
Open Automations.
Find the automation and select Review progress.
Open the pending escalation using Review approval.
Read why Morgan is proposing the escalation and check its approval deadline.
Review the message preview.
Open the recipient list to check which managers will receive it.
Select Approve nudge to approve the escalation, or Skip this nudge to skip it.
Review an escalation in Teams or Slack
Only the automation owner will receive manager escalations to review and approve directly in Teams or Slack, to mitigate conflicts in simultaneous approvals or skipped escalations.
Open Morgan's approval request in Teams or Slack.
Review the reason for the escalation and the message details.
Select Approve nudge to approve the escalation, or Skip escalation to skip it.
Approving an escalation allows Morgan to send the proposed message to the listed managers. Skipping it means that proposed escalation is not sent. Morgan can propose another escalation at a later review if one is still needed.
Respond before the approval deadline
Review the deadline shown in the approval request. An unanswered request expires after its cutoff. At the next review, Morgan checks whether a manager escalation is still needed.
