Automate assignment completion with Morgan

Set a completion target and choose how Morgan follows up on a Go1 assignment.

Set up an automation with Morgan by Go1™ to help learners complete a Go1 assignment by its due date and reduce manual follow up for you and tour team. Review the plan, choose a completion target, and decide whether Morgan can send manager escalations.

Before you begin

  • You must be a portal admin.

  • Your organization must have Morgan installed in Microsoft Teams or Slack.

  • Use a Go1 assignment with a fixed due date. Each automation supports one assignment. Assignments with rolling due dates or no due date are not currently supported.

Automations support English at launch. Any portal admin can manage the automation after you create it.

Start from an existing assignment

  1. Open Assignments.

  2. Open the In progress tab.

  3. Hover over the assignment you want to automate.

  4. Select Create automation.

  5. Review the preview, then select Set up automation to open the plan.

If the assignment already has an automation, select View automation to open it.

Start from a new assignment

  1. Create an assignment with a fixed due date.

  2. Wait for Go1 to finish creating the assignment.

  3. Select Set up automation when it appears.

Review and start the plan

  1. Review the assignment details in the plan.

  2. Set the Completion target. The default is 100%. Morgan aims to reach this target by the assignment due date.

  3. Choose whether to turn on Manager escalations. When this is on, Morgan can contact managers when their team is unlikely to reach the completion target by the due date.

  4. If you turn on manager escalations, choose Send automatically to let Morgan send them when needed, or Approve before sending to ask a portal admin to approve them first.

  5. Select Preview a nudge to see an example of how Morgan communicates.

  6. Review your settings, then select Launch to start the automation.

Morgan generates and sends learner nudges automatically, adjusting frequency based on progress and your completion target in relation to the due date. The approval setting applies to manager escalations.

You can review the automation under Automations and open its Plan tab to see its settings at any time
