What the Morgan by Go1 assistant does

Instead of logging into a learning platform, your team members can access learning inside the tools they already use — Microsoft Teams and Slack. Learning becomes something that happens in the flow of work, without disrupting anyone's day.

The Morgan assistant helps learners:

  • Stay on top of required training with proactive weekly nudges on what's overdue, due soon, and newly assigned

  • View their assignments, progress, and completion status without leaving Teams or Slack

  • Surface relevant learning moments through natural, conversational prompts

  • Complete learning with one-click access to content

Morgan uses AI to understand what learners need, surface recommendations from your Go1 content library, and explain why each recommendation is relevant.

After setup, learners receive a weekly digest every Monday at 9am in your portal's local timezone, with their most important learning updates.

Who can use Morgan

The Morgan assistant is initially designed for learners. It lives in Microsoft Teams and Slack, and is available to team members across your organization once your IT team installs it and your Go1 portal is connected.

If you're an L&D (Learning and Development) admin or people manager, you'll continue to manage programs, assignments, and reporting in Go1 Learn. The Morgan assistant complements Go1 Learn — it doesn't replace it — by extending your learning programs to where your team members already spend their day.

Current capabilities

Morgan's first release focuses on the learning experiences that deliver the most value in the flow of work:

  • Weekly digest. Every Monday at 9am (in your portal's local timezone), the Morgan assistant sends a summary of overdue, upcoming, and newly assigned learning directly in Teams or Slack. This is automatic — no setup required from admins or learners.

  • Learning overview. A view of all assignments, progress, and completion status. Learners can check where they stand without logging in to Go1 Learn.

  • Content discovery via chat. Learners describe what they need in plain language and Morgan returns targeted recommendations, asking clarifying questions where helpful. It's not keyword search — it's an intelligent, narrowing conversation.

  • One-tap access to learning. Direct one-click access from the Morgan assistant into the learning content, either staying within Teams, or back to Go1 Learn if in Slack.

  • Personalized experience. Responses are tailored to each learner's profile, enrollments, and role.

  • Feedback loop. Thumbs up / thumbs down feedback helps us to improve the Morgan experience over time.

What Morgan doesn't do yet

The Morgan assistant focuses on the learner experience in this release. It does not:

  • Create, assign, or curate learning on behalf of admins or managers — those workflows stay in Go1 Learn

  • Provide reporting, analytics, or dashboards — your L&D admins will continue to use Go1 Learn for this

  • Replace manager or coach conversations — the Morgan assistant helps learners find content, not design their career paths

  • Support languages other than English — multi-language support is on the roadmap

If a learner asks for something outside its scope, the Morgan assistant will explain what it can help with instead and point them to the right place.

Where the Morgan assistant is available

The Morgan assistant is available in two platforms at launch:

  • Microsoft Teams — available in the Microsoft Teams app store

  • Slack — available as a direct install

You can run the Morgan assistant in both Teams and Slack for the same organization if you wish, but each MS Teams or Slack workspace can connect to only one Go1 portal.

Get started - install the app for your organization

To get the Morgan assistant up and running in your organization, you'll need to:

  1. Install the Morgan app in Microsoft Teams or Slack — this is done by an IT or workspace admin

  2. Connect your Go1 portal — completed by a Go1 portal admin

  3. Introduce the Morgan assistant to your team members — so learners know what to expect when the first message arrives
