Whether you are looking to curate content for review, or you would like to group content for consumption by the learners of your Go1 Portal, Playlists offer a simple and fuss-free means through which Administrators can save and categorise learning content.

Creating a Playlist

  1. To get started, search for item of content you wish to categorise against a topic or subject matter through Explore.
  2. From the search results, hover over the course card.
  3. Select the save icon.
  4. The Save to playlist window will popup, allowing for you to select the playlist to which you would like to save that content.
  5. Select the button to + Create a new playlist.
  6. Specify a title, description, and upload an image which encapsulates the topic or subject matter covered by this playlist.
    By default the playlist will use the image for the first course added to that Playlist.
  7. Select Save to create your playlist.
  8. Returning to the Save to playlist window, from which you can either exit away, or continue to add further Playlists.

Adding content to a Playlist

  1. Select the save icon from a course card you wish to add to a Playlist.
  2. From the Save to playlist window, select the Playlist to which you wish to attach that item of content.
  3. The status will change to Saved.
  4. That course is now attached to the playlist you have selected.

You can review all of the content attached to that playlist by selecting the Playlist image or title. This will take you to the Overview page for that Playlist, containing all of the content that has been saved to that playlist.

Editing a Playlist

Should you wish to change the title, description, or image of your Playlist, you can do so from the Overview page for that Playlist:

  1. Select the [...] icon, located in the top right corner of the Playlist Overview page
  2. A dropdown list of options will display. Select Edit.
  3. A window will pop up titled Edit Playlist.
  4. Specify the changes as required, then select Save
  5. The popup window will close, and you will see the confirmation: "Playlist updated successfully."

Making your Playlist available to others

At the time of creating your playlist, it will only be visible to you, via My Learning. Playlists can however also be shared so that it is visible to all of the members of your Go1 Portal. To do so:

  1. Navigate to the Overview for that Playlist.
  2. Select the Access Settings button, which will display with the text: Private
  3. The Access Settings will pop up in a window, allowing for you to change the setting from Private to Public.
  4. Select Public.
  5. The Playlist will now be visible to all members of your Go1 Portal, via the Playlists tab within Explore.
  6. Note: Once a Playlist has been made Public, its status cannot be changed back to Private. If you wish to remove a Playlist from Public access, you will need to delete that playlist.

Removing content from a Playlist

If you wish to remove an item of content from a Playlist that you have created:

  1. Search for the content you wish to remove via the search bar in the top navigation
  2. Once you have located the course, select the save icon to the right of that course.
  3. The Save to Playlist settings will pop up in a window
  4. Hover over the the Saved button to the right of the Playlist from which you wish to remove this course
  5. An option to Unsave will display. Select Unsave
  6. The course will be removed from the Playlist.
  7. The button status will change to Save, allowing for you to re-add the course to the Playlist if required.

Deleting a Playlist

You can delete a Playlist that you have created, so that it is no longer accessible to any of the members of your Go1 Portal, by navigating to the Playlist Overview page:

  1. Select the [...] icon, located in the top right corner of the Playlist Overview page
  2. A dropdown list of options will display. Select Delete.
  3. A window will pop up titled Delete this playlist.
  4. If you wish to proceed, select Delete once more.
  5. The popup window will close, and you will see the confirmation: "Playlist deleted successfully."
