Share a playlist to another portal (MyGo1)

How to share a copy of a playlist from one portal to another portal in MyGo1

MyGo1 is being retired. All customers will migrate to Go1 Learn in 2026. Learn about the migration.

If your organization uses multiple portals, you can share a copy of a playlist from one portal to another. This is useful when you've curated a playlist in one portal and want to make the same content available elsewhere in your organization.

Before you start

You must be an admin of both portals — the portal you're sharing from and the portal you're sharing to. The playlist you want to share must be published.

How to share a playlist to another portal

  1. Log in to MyGo1 and navigate to the portal that contains the playlist you want to share.

  2. Find the playlist you want to share.

  3. Confirm the playlist is published. If it's still in draft, publish it first.

  4. Click on the ellipses menu and select Share.

  5. In the Share modal, select the option Share to another portal.

  6. Choose the portal you want to share the playlist to and click Send.

  7. The playlist will be copied to the selected portal in a draft state.

The shared playlist will appear in the receiving portal as "Copy of [Original Playlist Name]".

Understanding draft state

The shared playlist arrives in the receiving portal as a draft. This means it is not yet visible to learners or other users. The admin in the receiving portal must publish the playlist — or share it with specific users or groups — before anyone else can see it.

Publishing the shared playlist

Once the playlist has been shared, an admin in the receiving portal should:

  1. Log in to the receiving portal.

  2. Locate the "Copy of..." playlist that you just shared.

  3. Review the playlist to make sure everything looks correct.

  4. Publish the playlist to make it discoverable by learners, or share it with specific users or groups.

FAQs

Can I edit the copied playlist before publishing it?

Yes. The copy is independent of the original, so you can add or remove content, change the title, and update the description before publishing.

Will changes to the original playlist update the copy?

No. Once shared, the copy is a separate playlist. Any changes you make to the original will not carry across to the copy.
