Configure the SuccessFactors integration in Go1

Before you set up SSO, you'll need to configure the Go1 Platform. Learn how to do so in this article.

Updated over a week ago

This section can be completed by the SuccessFactors Administrator within your organisation, or a SuccessFactors user who is also an Administrator in your Go1 Platform.

Step 1

1.1 Obtain an Admin Level Client Secret for SuccessFactors Learning APIs

1.2 In SAP SuccessFactors Learning Administration, go to System Administration > Application Administration > Administrators.

1.3 To generate a new client secret you must either create a new admin or select an existing admin.

  • If you have an existing admin, select that admin from the Admin Management page.

Note: Generating a new secret invalidates all previous ones. If you have clients that are using a previously generated secret to gain a token, you must update those clients to use the new secret, or use another Admin user.

  • If you do not yet have an administrator to call Learning APIs, then you must create a new admin by clicking Add New and completing the Admin Management form.

1.4 Click Generate a new Client Secret
Note: The secret is not stored, so if you lose it, you need to generate another.

1.5 Copy the newly generated Client Secret. This needs to be transferred securely to GO1 and pasted into the Integrations section in your GO1 portal.

Note: The admin you use for this step must have permission to mark completions in SuccessFactors, if not completions will not feed from GO1 > SuccessFactors. See this troubleshooting guide for more details.

Step 2

Enable the SuccessFactors integration in Go1

2.1 Navigate to your avatar in the top right-hand corner of your screen and select ‘Integrations’ from the side panel.

2.2 Scroll down and enable the SuccessFactors integration:

2.3. Select ‘SuccessFactors’, on the left side panel to gain access to 'Account Settings' in order to begin the configuration.
2.4 In 'Environment' enter your LMS SuccessFactors Tenant URL without https.
This would have been provided by SuccessFactors when your instance was provisioned. Customers may give you their overall url by accident here, and it is essential that the url is LMS specific.

Note: most URLs from the LMS have plateau.com on the end:

2.5 In 'User Id' enter the Related User for the Client Secret that you generated, this will need to be the Admin ID:

2.6 In 'Client Id' enter your LMS Tennant ID. This would have been provided by SuccessFactors when your instance was provisioned
2.7 In 'Client Secret' enter the secret that you generated in the previous step

2.8 Click 'Submit' to save
