What is an Award?

Awards is a feature that allows you to group formal or informal learning together in a program to achieve your desired learning outcomes. Common programs built in Awards include Onboarding, Career pathways, Performance Management, Job Readiness, and Compliance.

One of your organization's goals could be to have a system of recognizing customer service staff who complete courses to ascertain Gold, Silver and Bronze Customer Service levels. This can be achieved using awards.

Utilizing awards, we can create Gold, Silver and Bronze awards and assign a target number of points a user must accumulate, specify the courses that are eligible for that award, and allocate points for completing each course.

How to get the most out of Awards

Create targets to ensure completion of all components

  • Gamify learning by setting targets for your learners to reach.

  • This allows your learners to complete a range of courses associated with a program or initiative.

Set learner expectations by setting due dates

  • To ensure your learners can manage their time effectively, due dates and supporting reminder notifications can be configured, to support mandatory training.

Add previously completed external records

  • We recognise that your learners may have already completed training externally.

  • Users can upload their certification to Awards, for your review.

Add your own-created content alongside Go1 courses

  • Whether you are creating courses using the Course creation tool, or from the Go1 Content Hub, all content types can be delivered together within Awards to support a range of programs such as Onboarding, Standardisation, Performance Management, or Compliance.

Assign learning from Awards

  1. Select ‘Assign’ from the top right-hand side.

  2. A window will pop up through which you can search for learners to assign to that content. Search can be via name or email address. You can assign up to 50 learners at one time from this window, or keep reading to learn how to quickly assign to a larger group. Managers will only be able to assign learners they already manage.

  3. You can then choose to set a due date; this can be based on a number of days or months, or you can choose a specific date.

  4. Select Assign to proceed. Learners will receive an email notification about their new assigned learning, and the assigned learners will appear within that course or resource's Manage page.
