Using the Bulk Uploader

By using the Bulk Uploader, you can upload up to 1,000 files to add learning content to your Go1 portal quickly. This can help you save time and get your content ready to be consumed by learners faster.

Accessing the Bulk Uploader

You can access the Bulk Uploader by accessing Content from the menu and navigating to the Created by my portal tab. Click on the Bulk Upload button and select from either:

  1. Upload content – select this option to create new learning objects.

  2. Upload content metadata – select this option to add or update metadata for existing learning objects.

Setting the visibility for your learning objects

When uploading content, you can choose where you want your content to be visible once you’ve completed uploading your content. You can choose from the following options:

  1. Your Portal – select this option to make your content available to users in your portal

  2. Go1 Content Hub – select this option if you are a Go1 Content Partner and want to submit your content for review by Go1

Uploading Files from your computer

You can select the files you wish to upload from your computer by clicking on Choose Files or by dragging the files onto the file uploader page. Once you have added all your files, begin the uploading process by clicking on the Upload button at the bottom of the page. For more information on what files are supported by the platform, please click here.

💡 Tip: The file names will be used to populate the title of your content, so use appropriate file names.

When your files are done uploading, you’ll see each created as its own learning object and any errors encountered when uploading your files. You can download the report to see more details about the errors. If you encounter errors, you can re-upload the corrected files or continue with the successfully created files and correct to the errors later.

💡 Tip: Download your content metadata CSV before moving on to the next step or closing the browser.

Uploading content metadata

Once you’ve created your learning objects, you can download CSV content metadata. The file contains one row per learning object you created and the metadata fields Go1 collects. If you are submitting your content to Go1 Content Hub, more of the fields are mandatory. For more information on what metadata is required, please click here.

Upload your content metadata CSV and associated image files by clicking on Choose Files or by dragging the files onto the content details uploader page. Once you have added all your files, begin the uploading process by clicking on the Upload button at the bottom of the page.

Once the upload is completed, you will see a summary of the learning objects that have been successfully updated. You can close the Bulk Uploader by clicking Done at the bottom of the page.
