The Bulk Uploader enables you to add learning content to your Go1 portal quickly. Below is a guide to the common errors encountered when uploading content and the steps you can take to resolve them.

Tips to resolve

File size exceeds the limit

  • Remove the file exceeding the limit to proceed.

  • The following limits apply:

    • Interactive - 5GB

    • Video - 5GB

    • Audio - 5GB

    • Document - 40MB

    • Image - 10MB

File type not supported

  • Remove the unsupported file to proceed.

  • The following content file types are supported:

    • MP4, MP3, OGG, WAV, DOC, DOCX, DOTX, PDF, POT, POTM, POTX, PPS, PPSM, PPT, PPTM, PPTX, RTF, XLS, XLSX, SCORM, xAPI, AICC, and CMI5 (uploaded as a .zip).

  • The following image file types are supported:

    • PNG, GIF, JPG and JPEG

Exceeded file limit

  • A maximum of 1000 files can be uploaded at one time.

  • Remove files above this limit to proceed.

Upload failed to complete

  • Occurs when the connection is lost during upload.

  • Try uploading the files again

  • Ensure the browser remains open during the uploading process.

CSV upload errors

  • Ensure the CSV template is not modified, including removing the header rows, adding additional columns or removing columns.

  • The CSV file isn’t UTF-8 compliant. Ensure the CSV file is UTF-8 encoded.

Missing metadata

  • Occurs when a required metadata field is missing from the CSV.

  • The required metadata differs when publishing to your portal or Go1 Content Hub.

Metadata errors

  • Duration must be a numerical input representing minutes, e.g. 120

  • Topics listed must match the topics in the topic taxonomy here.

  • If adding a locale, it must match the locale options listed here.

  • Region relevance must match the region relevance options listed here.

  • Language must match the language options listed here.

  • Level must match the level options listed here.

  • WCAG, Assessable, and Mobile must be listed as either true or false.

Image not found

  • When uploading image files, the image file name must match the file name listed in the relevant column of the CSV. Ensure the file extension is lowercase.

  • If using a URL, an error may occur if the system could not retrieve an image from the URL provided. Ensure the URL is correct and try again.
