Managing Languages in your Content

How to manage Content on Go1 in multiple languages

Updated today

Creators can create their content on Go1 in one or more languages, enabling administrators and learners to more easily find content that meets their language needs.

This guide will cover how to manage your content in multiple languages.

Definitions: Content Languages

There are three separate language concepts we support on Learning Objects:

Definition

Preview Experience

Primary language
The main language in which the content is available.

Supported languages
Additional languages or translations that can be selected within the object itself, rather than through a separate object (eg. Toggle FR subtitles).

Alternative languages
Additional languages or translations that are available as separate objects. (eg. The FR version of the content).

Creating your Content

First follow our guides to get your content created in the Primary Language.

Adding Supported/Alternative Languages to that Content

You have two options to get your supported/alternative languages updated on Go1:

1. Update the languages yourself via our Public API

If you are confident with using technical tools, you can follow our developer guide to maintain your languages to update the languages yourself.

2. Submit a request to Go1 to have the Content updated for you

Alternatively - you can submit a request to Go1 via your CPSM with a CSV containing the following information, and we'll update it for you. Updates will take between 5-10 business days.
