AI Assistant in Reports

Ask questions about your learning data in plain language and get clear answers and charts.

Updated this week

The AI Assistant is an artificial intelligence system that answers your questions by analysing your learning data.

🔔 Early access (BETA): The AI Assistant in Reports is currently available to select customers while we make improvements. If you don't have access yet, it will be available to all customers in a future update.

We're regularly shipping improvements to this feature. What you see today may look and behave differently as we continue to develop it.

The AI Assistant in Reports lets you ask questions about your organization's learning data in plain language - no need for filters or exporting to get the answers you need. Type what you want to know and get an instant answer, chart, or table you can download and share.

This feature is the reporting equivalent of the AI Assistant in Search. Where the AI Assistant in Search helps you find content, the AI Assistant in Reports helps you understand how your organization is learning.

The AI Assistant always works within your existing permissions - it will never show learners or managers data they wouldn't otherwise have access to.

What you can ask

You can ask the AI Assistant questions about:

  • Completion and progress — who has completed assigned training, completion rates by team or department, and individual learner progress

  • Assignments — which learners are overdue, who hasn't started, and how a specific assignment is tracking

  • Learner activity — who is actively engaging with learning, and self-directed learning patterns

  • Content performance — which content has the highest completion rates and how learners are rating it

You can ask follow-up questions to refine your results. For example, after asking for your organization's completion rate, you could ask to break it down by department, or for a specific group.

Examples of questions you can ask:

  • "What's our completion rate for assigned training this month?"

  • "Who's overdue on compliance training?"

  • "Which learners haven't started their onboarding assignment?"

  • "Show me the most completed content in the last 30 days."

What the AI Assistant cannot do

The AI Assistant is designed to help you understand your learning data. It cannot:

  • Assign learning or create assignments - use the Assignments page for this

  • Send notifications or reminders to learners (yet!)

  • Predict future completion rates or forecast outcomes

  • Explain why a metric has changed — it shows you the data, but interpretation relies on human context

  • Modify or delete any enrollment or learning records

Use the AI Assistant in Reports

  1. Navigate to Reports in the left menu

  2. Type your question in the text field

  3. Review your results — the assistant will ask clarifying questions, return a summary, and where relevant, a chart or table

  4. To download the underlying data, select Download CSV

  5. To refine your results, type a follow-up question

Note: The AI Assistant uses your portal's timezone for all date calculations. You'll see the timezone referenced in responses that includes dates.

⚠️ Important: Never share personal information, sensitive data, passwords, financial details, or confidential business information when using the AI Assistant. See How Go1 uses AI for more information on how we handle AI interactions.

Understand your results

Responses from the AI Assistant can include:

  • Summary and insights - a direct answer to your question, including the date range and scope used, factual observations highlighted when there's a notable pattern, such as a large gap between departments or a consistent trend over time

  • Visualizations - a chart or table where relevant, based on what best represents the data

  • CSV downloads - so you can work with the data outside Go1, or share it with stakeholders

The AI Assistant uses AI to query your learning data and can make mistakes. Always verify results before making any decisions.

User Control

The AI Assistant is here to help, but you don’t have to use it. You can type questions to get answers and charts, or simply ignore it; your access to reports and other Go1 features won’t change.

Help us make it smarter

We're continually improving the AI Assistant in Reports to deliver more accurate, relevant, and useful results for you and your team. Your feedback plays a vital role in that process. For each response that AI Assistant provides, you can indicate how successful it was with thumbs up/thumbs down ratings, and provide further comments about why or why not.

If something doesn't look right - an answer that seems off, a result you didn't expect, or a question the assistant couldn't answer - we want to know. Reporting these instances helps us refine the assistant, strengthen safeguards, and improve overall performance.

As well as providing these ratings to the Assistant, you can always report anything that doesn’t look right by reaching us at [email protected].

Data Use

The AI Assistant uses only the data you already have access to in Go1, like learning activity, completion rates, and assignments. It does not process sensitive personal information unless you explicitly include it in a question. Please avoid including personal, sensitive, or confidential information in your questions.
