Understand the Account Owner role

Learn about the Account Owner role and the responsibilities that come with managing your organisation's Go1 subscription.

What is an Account Owner?

After your organisation purchases its first Go1 subscription, the administrator who completes the purchase becomes the Account Owner.

Each self-service subscription has one Account Owner at a time.

The Account Owner is responsible for managing the organisation's subscription and billing, while administrators continue to manage the day-to-day operation of the portal.

What can the Account Owner do?

The Account Owner can:

  • Update billing details

  • View and download invoices

  • Cancel the subscription

  • Transfer Account Ownership to another administrator

The Account Owner also receives billing notifications, renewal reminders, payment confirmations and invoices.

Can there be more than one Account Owner?

No.

Each subscription can have one Account Owner at a time.

If responsibility for the subscription changes, the current Account Owner can transfer ownership to another administrator.

What if the Account Owner leaves my organisation?

Before leaving the organisation, the Account Owner should transfer ownership to another administrator.

If the current Account Owner is no longer available, contact Go1 Support for assistance with transferring ownership.
