Connect Go1 to Slack so managers can receive purchase-request notifications and your organization can share completed purchases in a selected channel.
Before you begin
You need:
A Go1 portal with the Slack integration enabled.
Go1 Pay enabled for the portal.
Administrator access to the Go1 portal.
Permission to connect an app to the Slack workspace.
A Slack channel for completed-purchase notifications.
Contact your account manager if the Slack integration or Go1 Pay is not enabled.
Connect Go1 to Slack
Sign in to Go1.
Select your profile logo in the upper-right corner.
Select Integrations.
Select Slack from the left navigation.
Select Connect to Slack.
Review and approve the requested Slack permissions.
Choose the Slack channel that will receive completed-purchase notifications.
Complete the connection.
Go1 displays a confirmation when the portal is connected.
To remove the connection later, return to the Slack integration and select Disconnect.
Receive approval notifications
When a learner submits a request that needs manager approval, the manager receives a notification in the Messages tab of the Go1 app for Slack.
The notification includes:
The learner's name.
The requested resource.
An option to open the request.
An option to approve it.
An option to cancel it.
Receive purchase notifications
After an approved purchase is completed, Go1 posts a notification in the Slack channel selected during setup.
The notification confirms the purchase and includes an option to open the resource on the provider's website.
