How Morgan by Go1 works for learners

Learn what learners see in Morgan, how weekly digests work, and what they can ask Morgan to do.

Morgan helps learners access Go1 learning from Microsoft Teams or Slack. Learners can use Morgan to check assigned learning, track progress, and find relevant content without starting in Go1 Learn.

What learners can do with Morgan

Learners can use Morgan to:

  • Check overdue or due-soon learning

  • Find Go1 content by asking in plain language

  • Open learning with one click

  • Save content for later

  • Schedule time to complete learning and get a calendar link

Learners can ask Morgan questions such as:

  • What learning do I need to complete?

  • Do I have anything overdue?

  • What have I completed this month?

  • Find me a course on leadership.

  • I want to improve my Excel skills. Any recommendations?

Morgan may ask a follow-up question if it needs more detail to find the right content.

Weekly learning digest

Every Monday morning, Morgan checks each learner's Go1 assignments and recent learning activity.

Morgan only sends a digest when there is something useful to say, such as:

  • New learning assigned to the learner

  • Learning due soon

  • Overdue learning

  • Recent progress or completion activity worth summarizing

If there is nothing new or urgent, Morgan may not send a message that week. This keeps Morgan useful without creating unnecessary notifications.

Learning overview

Learners can open Morgan any time to see their Go1 learning.

Morgan can show:

  • Assigned learning

  • In-progress learning

  • Saved learning

  • Completed learning

Each learning item may show details such as title, description, content type, duration, due date, and a button to open the content.

Learners can find the Learning Overview on the Learning tab in Microsoft Teams.

Learners can find the Learning Overview on the Home tab in Slack.

Learners can also ask Morgan for this information directly.

For example:

  • What learning is assigned to me?

  • What do I have in progress?

  • What have I saved?

  • What have I completed?

On-demand learning discovery

Learners can message Morgan in plain language to find learning content. For example, a learner might ask:

"I have to present to senior stakeholders next week. Can you recommend a short course on presentation skills?"

"I'm a new manager, help me develop the skills I need to lead a team"

Morgan may ask follow-up questions about time available, skill level, or content preferences before recommending learning.

Saving content

Learners can save content from Morgan so they can come back to it later.

Saved content is connected to the learner's Go1 account.

Learners can access their saved content again for asking Morgan to retrieve it for them.

"What learning do I have saved, order it by recently saved?"

Alternatively, they can visit the Home tab in Slack or the Learning tab in Microsoft Teams.

Scheduling learning time

Learners can ask Morgan to help them schedule time to complete learning.

Morgan can provide a calendar link so the learner can add time to their calendar. This helps learners turn a recommendation or assignment into a planned learning moment.

Opening learning from Morgan

When Morgan shows a learning item, learners can open it from the message.

In Microsoft Teams, learning content can open inside Teams.

In Slack, learning content opens in Go1 Learn.

If Morgan asks a learner to sign in

Morgan may ask a learner to connect to Go1 if it cannot automatically match their Microsoft Teams or Slack account to their Go1 account.

If the learner sees a sign-in prompt:

  1. Select Connect to Go1.

  2. Sign in with the learner's Go1 account.

  3. If your organization uses single sign-on, follow the usual sign-in process.

  4. Return to Microsoft Teams or Slack and try Morgan again.

If the learner cannot sign in, a Go1 admin may need to create or import the learner, check SSO assignment, or update their Go1 access.

What learners should know

  • Morgan works through direct messages only.

  • Morgan does not post in channels or group messages.

  • Each learner only sees their own Go1 learning and progress.

  • Learners can still use Go1 Learn directly at any time.

  • Morgan currently supports English only.
