Assign an Immersive Simulation

Find a published simulation and assign it to learners or groups in Go1 Learn.

After publishing an Immersive Simulation, you can assign it to learners or groups in Go1 Learn. You can start the assignment from Simulations or find the published simulation under Content.

This article is for organizations assigning directly in Go1 Learn. If your organization uses a supported partner learning management system (LMS), see Publish and assign an Immersive Simulation through your LMS.

Before you begin

Before assigning a simulation:

  • Make sure the simulation has been published. Draft simulations cannot be assigned.

  • Confirm that you have permission to create assignments for the intended learners or groups.

  • Check that you have selected the correct simulation and audience, such as the employee or supervisor version.

  • Decide when learners should receive the assignment and when they should complete it.

If you have not yet published the simulation, see Create and publish an Immersive Simulation.

Find the published simulation

You can start from either of these locations in Go1 Learn.

From Simulations

  1. Select Simulations from the left menu.

  2. Open the Published tab.

  3. Select the simulation you want to assign.

  4. Select Assign.

From Content

Published simulations are also available with the content created by your organization.

  1. Find the published simulation in the content list.

  2. Select the simulation row to open its details.

  3. Select Assign.

Use this location if you want to return to a published simulation or cannot remember where it appears after publishing.

Create the assignment

After selecting Assign:

  1. Select the learners or groups who should complete the simulation.

  2. Select Next.

  3. Review or update the assignment name.

  4. Choose an assignment type:

    • Fixed due date for everyone to complete the simulation by the same date.

    • Rolling due date to give each learner the same amount of time from when they receive it.

    • No due date to let learners complete it at their own pace.

  5. Choose whether to assign it immediately or schedule it for a future date.

  6. Review the assignment details, then select Create assignment.

You will see a confirmation when the assignment has been created.

For more information about assignment types, scheduling, recurring assignments, and groups, see Assign content.

What happens next

After you create the assignment:

  • Learners receive an assignment notification.

  • The simulation appears on each learner’s Learning page.

  • Learners can see the due date, if one was set.

  • The assignment appears on the Assignments page for administrators to monitor.

Share Complete an Immersive Simulation with learners so they know what to expect before starting.

If the Assign option is not available

Check the simulation’s status. The Assign option is available only after the simulation has been published.

If you have just published it, refresh Simulations or Content → Created by us, then open the published simulation again. If Assign is still unavailable, confirm that your role has permission to create assignments for the intended learners.

Plan the assignment

Before sending the assignment, consider:

  • Whether the simulation is intended for employees, supervisors, or another learner group

  • A due date that gives learners time to find a suitable place to speak, if they plan to respond by voice

  • The context learners need to understand why the simulation is being assigned

  • Who will monitor completion and review the results
