Applying Due Date with Completion Rule Method

For an in-depth walk-through of course creation, you may refer to How to Create a Course. Once you have successfully created a course, select "Done" and head back to the course overview page > Then go to "Settings".

Then go to "Timeframe settings" > And select "Completion rule" > And select your preferred completion target (Either based on days, weeks, or months) > Then click on "Save"

*Important Notes:

  • This completion rule method will only be triggered when the user enrolls in the course.

  • Do not assign with a due date anymore if you have enabled the completion rule in a course

How to Check On a Course Due Date?

To check on due dates set for users or courses, you can go to Administer > Enrolments area > Then click on 'Config'

After that, ensure that you tick the 'Due Date' from the column > And click on "Apply"

Some Useful Filters Are:

  • Filter based on "Type" > Select "Course" to see a less detailed summary (The default enrolment report shows the child enrolments as well, which are enrolments into each learning item of a course).

  • Filter based on "Type" > Select "Award" to see just the award due dates.

  • Search by a specific course by filtering based on "Title" > Set it to "Contains Phrase", with a part of the course title inserted.

Additional Information:

  • You may also click on the Due Date column to sort the list by due dates if you wish to see the soonest upcoming dates

  • You can also set a specific due date to a module in a course. Read more about it here.
