How to send reset password link (Admins)

How an administrator can reset a user's password that have been locked out of their portal via a link.

These instructions relate to the legacy user management page in portals created prior to 2 April 2025 (AEDT).

To send a 'reset password' email for a user locked out of their account, follow these 6 steps: 

  1. In your Portal, navigate to your name in the top right corner of screen.

  2. Select 'Administer' in the drop-down selection.

  3. Select 'Users' in the tabs

  4. Once user has been found, hover mouse over their name.

  5. Select the downward pointing arrow to view selection.

  6. Select 'Reset password' 

The user will now receive and email with prompts on how to reset their password. Ensure their email is correct in their profile.
