As part of MyGo1's retirement at the end of 2026, we're moving your existing group assignments and automatic reassignment settings to Go1 Learn.
You don't need to rebuild these assignments yourself. We'll recreate them as Go1 Learn assignments, giving you one place to manage who needs to complete what, when it's due, and how often it repeats. Your learners can continue to access and complete their learning in Go1 Learn throughout the process.
For the wider transition and what your organization can do now, see Prepare for MyGo1 retirement.
How we're moving your assignments
Go1 uses your existing MyGo1 configuration to create assignments in Go1 Learn. The recreation process reviews:
Content assigned to groups.
Current membership of each group.
The date each learner received and completed the content.
The time learners have to complete the content.
Content with automatic reassignment enabled.
How often that content is set to repeat.
Learners who completed repeating content as individuals rather than through a group assignment.
Learning requirements that share the same audience, content, completion window, and recurrence schedule are grouped into clear, manageable assignments.
What stays the same
Assignment recreation does not:
Move or rewrite learner completion history.
Change existing enrollment records.
Create new enrollments.
Send learner emails.
Change how learners access and complete their learning in Go1 Learn.
Current group membership determines who appears in a recreated assignment. If a learner has moved between groups, they appear through their current group. Their earlier enrollments and completion history remain unchanged.
Before assignment recreation begins
Go1 will notify your administrators, by email and in the platform, of the scheduled recreation date and when assignment editing will be temporarily unavailable.
In the lead-up to your scheduled recreation date:
Finalize any changes to group assignments and automatic reassignment settings in MyGo1.
Avoid making configuration changes close to the scheduled recreation date. Changes made shortly before recreation may not be included in the recreated assignments.
If an urgent change is required, contact your Customer Success Manager or submit a request to Go1 Support to confirm whether it can be included.
What happens during assignment recreation
Assignment creation and editing will be unavailable for approximately six hours while Go1 recreates and verifies your assignments. This temporary pause prevents configuration changes while the recreation is in progress.
This is not a platform outage. During the recreation window:
Learners can continue to access and complete their training.
Administrators can continue to create learners and content.
Existing MyGo1 assignments and automatic reassignments continue to operate.
Go1 will notify your admin again once the recreation is complete.
Review your recreated assignments
Once you receive the completion notification, your recreated assignments are ready on the Assignments page in Go1 Learn. Each assignment shows its audience, content, completion window, and recurrence schedule in one place.
Your existing MyGo1 Course Manage view and reporting remain available until the end of 2026, so you can adjust to the new experience at your own pace. Learn more about creating and saving reports on Go1 Learn when you're ready.
If an assignment is missing or something doesn't look right, contact your Customer Success Manager or submit a request to Go1 Support. A configuration mismatch does not mean learner history or an enrollment has been lost — it means a setting needs to be reviewed on our end, and Go1 can resolve it with you.
Understand dates for recurring assignments
Recurring assignments in Go1 Learn repeat from the assignment date. The assignment date opens the next renewal window; it is not the date the learner must retrain.
The completion window you set determines the due date for each cycle. For example, if learners have 30 days to complete an assignment, their due date is 30 days after the assignment date.
When an assignment is recreated, Go1 preserves each learner's individual schedule:
Each learner's next due date is carried across from their existing MyGo1 configuration.
The assignment date for their current cycle is set earlier by the length of the completion window, based on each learner's own history — not the date the recreation runs.
No learner is assigned the content earlier than required as they move to the new recurrence schedule.
Repeating from the assignment date also keeps future renewals active if a learner does not complete a cycle. If recurrence depended on completion and a learner never completed, the next assignment would never be created — and the requirement would silently disappear. Assignment-date recurrence prevents this.
Manage assignments after recreation
Create all new assignments and recurrence settings in Go1 Learn after recreation is complete. You can find more detail on this process here.
You can update a recreated assignment to:
Add or remove groups or individuals.
Change the completion window or recurrence schedule.
Update the assigned content.
To stop future repeats, close the assignment. Learners who are already enrolled can still complete their current learning.
Removing content or audience members from an active assignment can affect current enrollments. Review the impact before making these changes.
Common questions
Do I need to rebuild my courses or other learning items?
Do I need to rebuild my courses or other learning items?
No. Assignment recreation uses the courses and learning items already available in Go1 Learn. It changes the assignment configuration, not the content itself.
Can I still use MyGo1 after recreation?

What should I do if something does not look right?
What should I do if something does not look right?
Contact your Customer Success Manager or submit a request to Go1 Support with the assignment name and the details that appear incorrect. Your underlying completion history and enrollment records remain unchanged so Go1 can safely correct display issues if they occur.
